Episode 20: 20 Comic things to check out and Star Wars

In Episode 20 we decided to have an unplanned-unstructured chat where we listed 20 different things we think our listeners should check out. Some have been covered on the show, some haven't. Some might be controversial, and some are no-brainers.

In the last segment, we also watched the Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker trailer for the first time and reacted to it live. We even gave a countdown to hitting play so you can watch it right alongside us!

I am going to include the list of the 20 things at the bottom of this post so you can feel free to give it a look before or after you listen to the episode.

As always, if there is a comic series or topic you would like to hear us cover on the podcast, reach out to us on Twitter @2mancomicbook, or Instagram @2mancomicbookclub.

Continue Scrolling if you want to have the list spoiled for you.

And the Episode 20 list of 20 Comic related things worth checking out (which we didn't really talk through or plan beforehand) is

...In no particular order:

1. Smallville - TV Show
2. Bendis run of Secret Wars -Avengers/New Avengers - Comic Books
3. Batman (1989) - Movie
4. Dark Knight Trilogy - Movies
5. Doom Patrol - TV Show
6. Spider-Man 2 - Movie
7. Umbrella Academy - both Comic Books and TV Series
8. Watchmen - Both Graphic Novels and Movie
9. House of X & Powers of X - Hickman X-Men run - Comic Books
10. Infinity Saga - Movies
11. Superman (1978) - Movie
12. Arrowverse - TV Shows (Arrow, Flash, Constantine, Supergirl, Vixen, Legends of Tomorrow, Freedom Fighters, Black Lightning, Batwoman)

15. The Force Awakens - Movie
16. Death Of Superman Arc - Comic Books
17. Hickman run of Fantastic Four - Comic Books
18. Fraction run of Hawkeye - Comic Books
19. Indie Comics in general. So many great titles, we felt bad only mentioning Umbrella Academy, so do yourself a favor and dig into the great world of indie comic books!
20. Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Crossover Comic Books

But... After finishing this list, we felt dirty for all the things we left out. If you were going to make a list of your own, what would you put on it? How much of our (highly spontaneous) list do you agree with? What don't you agree with? What would you add to the list? What would you take away?

Let us know on twitter!

Episode 28: Let's Talk Digital Comic Book Services!

If it weren't for Marvel Unlimited , it is fair to assume that this podcast would have never been started.  With these various services being such an easy way to get into comic books, we thought that it would be cool to talk through what we think of them! Marvel Unlimited is a really great service with tons of comic books and an awesome interface. We highly recommend it! DC Universe is relatively new, but it has an awesome collection of comic books, and it also has TV and Movies! (And the DC Universe Original Shows are absolutely fantastic!!) Comixology Unlimited is an absolutely fantastic service if you're looking for Indie comic books in addition to a pretty good selection of Marvel and DC titles! We also discuss a few other options. Whichever method you choose, we just hope you read comic books!  Did you enjoy this "Let's Talk" episode? Would you like to hear more short subject episodes like this?
