Who Are We?

We're the 2 Man Comic Book Club.


 We're not experts but we love digging into comic books. Whether it is a single issue, a mini-series, or a huge story arc that encompasses and entire company, we love to read and talk about it.

 After starting our little club, which you can read about in this blog, we decided to take it to the next level and turn it into a podcast. Sometimes we talk about comic books, sometimes movies, and sometimes we break down an idea or concept that occurs in a movie or comic book that we feel is worth discussing.

Alex Miller is finishing up a Communications degree with a minor in African American Studies at the University of Arkansas. He is currently a Percussion instructor in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. At various times he claims to be Iron Man or Batman. I personally don't know which one to believe.

Drew Morris is a composer of music for concert band, percussion, chamber groups, and electronics. He has enjoyed reading comic books since he was a kid and used to have a rotation of 7 different Superman shirts that he wore through most of junior high.

Episode 22: Ms. Marvel #7 (2014) - We're Back with Season 2!!

Hey there 2 Man Fans! We're back with new episodes after a little holiday break. We hope you're ready for more comics! We start Season 2 with a book that provides a slight wrap up of the first story arc of Ms. Marvel. (Or at least enough of an ending to allow us to discuss it and then step away from Ms. Marvel for a bit...If you want us to pick the Ms. Marvel stories back up, give us a shout on Twitter or leave a comment!) Kamala and Wolverine chase The Inventor's minions through the sewers. We learn a little more about Ms. Marvel's Powers. We see a few more heroes from the Marvel Universe. Episode 30: Powers of X #1 (2019) - Part 2 of our PHOX Event coverage.

We are dropped right in the action in Powers of X #1, which, despite its #1 description, is actually the continuation of the story which began in House of X #1. We are quick to learn where the name Powers of X (10) comes from. Right on the first page we are introduced to 4 different moments in time: Year 0, Year 10, Year 100, and Year 1000. It will take many more books to actually figure out what the significance of each event is, but it will all be worth it, trust me! If you are just jumping in here, we encourage you to go back one episode and start with Episode 29, which begins the entire arc. We also highly encourage you to check out each of the issues yourself. These 12 issues weave in and out of each other and are well worth the reading time! The easiest way to find them is probably Marvel Unlimited . But I bet you can also find floppies (paper copies) at your local comic shop , and it is well worth the investment!
