Episode 14: Ms. Marvel #1 (2014) & Kamala Khan's Debut!

In Episode 14, Alex and Drew discuss Kamala Khan's entry into the Marvel Universe, from brief cameo's in "Captain Marvel" #14 & 17 from 2013, to the first issue of her self titled comic book, "Ms. Marvel" in 2014.



In the episode we start by discussing the first appearance of Kamala in Captain Marvel #14 and #17. They're worth a read, but just in case you weren't able to check them out, here are the panels she appears in.

If you didn't know it was Kamala Khan, you might not realize what would eventually happen with her, but we cover that next as we break down the great story and art of Ms. Marvel #1 from 2014. We will we covering the first 5 or 6 issues of this run, so we invite you to go give them a read before listening, or just listen to what we have to say about this awesome hero!

Episode 30: Powers of X #1 (2019) - Part 2 of our PHOX Event coverage.

We are dropped right in the action in Powers of X #1, which, despite its #1 description, is actually the continuation of the story which began in House of X #1. We are quick to learn where the name Powers of X (10) comes from. Right on the first page we are introduced to 4 different moments in time: Year 0, Year 10, Year 100, and Year 1000. It will take many more books to actually figure out what the significance of each event is, but it will all be worth it, trust me! If you are just jumping in here, we encourage you to go back one episode and start with Episode 29, which begins the entire arc. We also highly encourage you to check out each of the issues yourself. These 12 issues weave in and out of each other and are well worth the reading time!
