Episode 19: Ms. Marvel #5 (2014)

In Episode 19, we are once again (mostly) live in our recording methods in an effort to stay on schedule. I even played the theme music live (and poorly) on Kalimba.

Episode 19 is a big one for Kamala Khan. She is handed her first defeat, a training montage, her first real appearance in her real uniform, and our first glimpse of the real villain of the first story arc.

In an effort to get this episode out on time, we once again recorded live, including a live kalimba version of our theme music. One of these days we'll get back on a schedule that will allow us to have more polished episodes again, but we had fun recording "acoustic" version, and we hope you enjoyed it too.

We'll be back next week with the last issue in this Ms. Marvel arc. Where will we go from there? Who knows?

Do you have favorite panels from Ms. Marvel or favorite Easter eggs from within the panels? Share them with us here or on social media! We would love to talk about the amazing art in upcoming issues!

Episode 100!!! Alex and Drew Rank the MCU: Phase 1, Host Favorites Questions, & How fast can we name 100 heroes or villains?

I can't believe we made it! 100 Episodes! (Well technically, we hit 100 a few episodes back, but early on we had a few mini-sodes that I didn't number, so it messed our numbering up, and for whatever reason, our "channel trailer" episode counts as #1 even though we considered it #0, so if you've been listening on Apple Podcasts, the number we've given episodes has never matched the A.P.#...Well, we're gonna rectify that starting with next episode, shifting to "Legacy Numbering" Anyway, on today's episode, we'll break down our ratings/rankings of Phase 1 of the MCU with the score sheet Alex devised for us. Have you been watching and ranking along with us? Then we'll check in on the questions we asked each other on the first few episodes, and then the 50th. "Host Favorites", and many of our answers have changed over the years. And finally, one of our loyal listeners asked us to see how quick we could name 100 heroes and villa...
